Hey there! I’m Lisa-Marie (or LM for short). I’ve been a graphic designer and artist for 14 years, creating with the intention of sharing hope, joy and empowerment through my work.
I started out my career in the business sector, focusing on creating logos and branding for corporations. By the time 2020 rolled around, my art style morphed with the use of a new iPad to draw digital illustrations as a new hobby. Often when I would share my personal creations on social media, requests to purchase my art as prints would pour in from family, friends and followers. With such positive feedback, I searched for opportunities to recreate my digital artwork on a larger scale in the form of public murals. By late 2021, I decided it was time to whole heartedly pursue the freelancing life and establish my business, Lisa Dot Design.
It brings me so much joy to produce colourful art on the daily and see the positive impact it has on people and small business. The world needs more brightness and life, and I’m here for it!
So why work with me?
Quality over quantity, every day.
I like to give my full attention and energy to a small handful of clients at any given time. When I’m (reasonably!) calm, relaxed and focused, I’m in the zone to produce my best work.
Slow work is good work.
If you’re after cheap and quick designs, you won’t find it here. I create space and invest time in every project I agree to, resulting in work I’m truly proud to put my name on.
You’re a colour lover seeking a point of difference.
If you’re after safe and corporate designs, you definitely won’t find it here either! I’m all about art that’s bright, joyful, unique and young at heart.
You’re not just a number to me.
Besides drawing pretty art, I genuinely love people and care about who I work with in business. Yep, that’s right - I want to find out about you and what makes you tick, too! Plus, life is so stressful as it is - I’m here to shake things up and make the design journey fun.
What’s involved exactly?
Feeling overwhelmed on what’s next? I got you! Here’s a few things you can expect along the creative journey with me.
Step 1: Initial consult & moodboard
We start with a consultation to understand ideas and vision (Either in person, over the phone or on Zoom), then you’ll receive a free moodboard of my potential design ideas to see what I can potentially create for you.
Step 2: Contract, payment & design time
If you’re down, I send through a digital contract for us to sign that outlines our agreed pricing, due dates and assets I’ll be creating. An invoice requesting an upfront payment of 50% of the total price will also be sent at this time. (If you’re stuck on pricing, I also offer payment plans!)
Once payment comes through, I get to work and start creating. I allow up to three free revisions of drafts to make sure there’s enough time and space for us to get the designs right and you’re happy to sign off on something you really love.
Step 3: And we’re done!
Once you’re 100% happy with what we’ve got, I’ll send through the final invoice for you to pay. Once final payment is received, all digital assets and files are provided for you to use and enjoy!
